Backwards

I somehow did this all backwards, anywho...pictures are on the blog below, just ignore my comments about not being able to find them. enjoy.

Our Arizona Family Vacation

I downloaded a bunch of pictures to post on this blog and to be honest in my tired state right now, I cannot find them anywhere on my computer so, I must start over, I will begin with writing about our adventures out in the Great West.

Anywho, we had the most relaxing vacation at Gigi and Papa's house in Arizona. We could be stranded with our folks at their place and live quite contently. Josh feels like a new person. I feel like a new mommy and Gracie well...she is still sleeping! Grace was an angel on the plane rides and kept everyone quite entertained. Even when we were delayed into the wee hours on the way home last night. The weather in AZ was beautiful, 80's and sunny. We got to the pool for a bit every day and it felt like we were nowhere near the Midwest. Even though this is home for us, it was nice to be in warmer weather for a week. Mom and Dad's place is beautiful, they really have made it a place to call home in AZ. The best part is that we need to bring nothing just their little granddaughter. Gigi even has the world's best toys - her fav. being the dolly high chair!!

We had Uncle Denny and Aunt Peggy (Josh's aunt and Grandpa Herb's sis and bro in law) over for dinner. It was so good to see them and Gracie is still talking about them and they brought her the sweetest little toy that looked like Teddy and a she loves it!! She read the book too over and over, a new fav. for our bookworm. What a treat to spend time with them:))

We visited the Phoenix zoo, (if I figure out my computer again, I will have pictures) and that was a great day! The Milwaukee zoo pass works for that zoo too. The girls did some shopping and the boys golfed, of course;) Josh and I even were able to have date night and go to the pool to lay out while Gigi and Papa watched Grace, that was the greatest gift ever! Gracie loved the pool and especially loved waking up Gigi and Papa every morning!! It was a wonderful trip and made us realize just how wonderful family time is...we are refreshed and ready to tackle the world again!

Life is good.

Waiting at the Phoenix airport... our flight was a wee bit delayed going home , more like delayed into the wee hours of the morning. We made the best if it and luckily our girl slept like a champ. What a good kid!!

This was the funniest site ever!! Grace got into Josh's shoes and we had music playing. All was quiet and when we went to check on her, she was dancing in her shoes. We have never laughed so hard. She is too funny, that girl!!

Josh and the gorilla, he had so much fun at the zoo..(maybe a little more than Grace;)

Look at this cool picture, Gracie's beautiful blue eyes and the tiger in the background!

Looking at the animals with Daddy, luckily for Mommy she had lots of extra hands to carry and walk with Gracie around the zoo.

Papa and Gracie, action shot!

Getting on the tiger on the merry-goround at the Phoenix zoo. We went there for a visit, what a fun day! The Milwaukee Zoo pass works for us in AZ too!

Coloring with Grandpa, what a fun time she had!

The backpack is bigger that she is! What a big girl:)

Gracie trully thought she was "Dora the Explorer" as she took her backpack everywhere with us:) This is her walking back from the pool.

Getting into the kiddie pool. We have a nice little one to play in, most of the time it was for ourselves.

Daddy and Gracie in Grandma and Grandpa's pool. She had a blast!! The swimming lessons paid off, she had no fear but, just enough to be very cautious. Grace kept telling Daddy to do the speedboat!!

Looking ever so stylish in Arizona!! Grace wanted to wear this hat and sunglasses, what a look!

SO....I am sitting her during our beloved nap time in the Mount house and just realized that I have not updated Grace's blog in a while let alone, really had quality time surfing the web!! Life has been totally busy! So, I have decided to update in writing today:)

All is good on the homefront here. We leave on Saturday for Grandma and Grandpa's Barrett's place in AZ...we are looking forward to vacay, a much needed one for Josh as he has been working like a dog and myself and Grace. Teddy will be staying at hotel Grandma and Grandpa Mount. He loves going there and they magically take such good care of him that he comes back a very tired little pup! In fact, last weekend they took him so, Josh could go on his golfing weekend to Kohler and I was able to take Gracie down to my friends' for a girls night. Such a treat. Well, the dog has been sleeping since:) We like a mellow Teddy, that is for sure.

Josh has been taking Grace to swim lessons to get her ready for the pools in AZ, she loves them. I can't say that about the first week as I guess she cried but, each week is easier for her and Daddy! While they are swimming, I teach classes at the Tosa Rec. dept. and I love it! It is the class that Gracie takes on Monday mornings. Her teacher asked me if I wanted to take on a few classes and it has worked out great! I enjoy meeting the kids and parents. It is so nice to know more people in the area. I also have one on Monday nights that works our well as it is nice to escape the house after the day.

While we are on vacay, we are getting wood floors redone so, we can begin the great ROOM SWITCH! Gracie will be moving into the extra room which we are making her palace and the baby will be going into her room. Of course, we are painting so the little dude does not have a trace of pink in his room;) It will be a slow process and we are in no hurry to rush her into the big girl bed. We will be in prebaby mode when we get back...the time is flying and our little guy will be here so fast. Gracie has now officially accepted that the baby is in Mommy's tummy (not hers) and she will give him kisses. AND, if you ask her if she wants a baby brother, the answer is "OK!!" Well, when she realizes he is here for good, we shall see what she has to say;)

SO, that is some of the scoop for now...pictures will be posted of our trip and Halloween soon!! Gracie will be a chicken this year for Halloween as she has the "bawk, bawk" and walk down pat. It will be pretty funny:)
