A finalist for the Christmas card photo...notice chocolate in Grace's mouth (bribery for the sitting for the picture). Teddy did not make the cut again this year because of his lack of attention span..we will try again next year!

The Color Blue and Molars

Well, we have officially introduced the color BLUE to our house on 94th Street! Since we have been back from vacation, we have been working very hard on house projects most importantly, the great room switch. Gracie has her own big girl room in which Daddy worked tirelessly to paint the coolest stripes. I must say, I am very proud of my husband. As Gracie likes to say, "Daaaaddy- do anyting!!" Translation, My Daddy can do anything!! Now, isn't that the story of Daddy's little girl:) This weekend, we transformed the old pink walls from Grace's old room and magically, they appeared blue! Now, at first the thought that came to our mind was Marquette's colors but, it is definitely a little dude's room. How fun is it to have BLUE in our house!! We LOVE pink and all the girlie stuff in the world but, it has been a joy to shop for the opposite gender. While, Josh has worked so hard on these two rooms, I have been nesting like a mad woman!! If we have one of something, we have 10! It is like Y2k around here again. I think with the second kid it has been worse. With less than a month to go, I am in full blown gotta get it done mode! Along with hardwork, Grace has been cutting these lovely molars which made for us to be even more housebound. The kid has never really been sick so, this weekend she has had a rough time with a fever and "ouch--mouth" as she says, meaning her teeth hurt. I think she is on the mend but, this weekend included a lot of ice cream and cuddles and our favorite guy, Elmo!! She did have fun exploring her old (new again) toys, the bouncy seat, the bassinet, ("Gracie too big" as she told us:) and she loved playing with the buckles on the carseat. Who needs Toys R Us and new Christmas toys when you have such treasures in the house?
The countdown begins for little boy blue....we can't wait to meet him! I am not sure if we will ever be ready;) Isn't that what we said oh......in March of 2005? :) I have some new pictures to post and will do that soon.
