Happy Labor Day!
As we sit here on this rainy day, we thought we would take the time to update our blog. We have lots of pictures but, are in the process of sorting them out and downloading them. So, we sit here and will write about the latest in the Mount family and Grace's newest tricks and adventures.
Gracie continues to be a happy, go lucky kid who definitely has a mind of her own! It has been such a fun summer for us. Compared to last summer when we were moving, packing and shuffling a little peanut of a baby around, this summer has been all about exploring and having fun. Gracie loves going to the parks in our neighborhood and her favorite part is the swings. In fact, Daddy took her this morning. She finished up her music class that she loved and will do it again in the Fall. In fact, her teacher asked me to teach her Tosa classes. I am looking forward to that and my subbing gig as well, in the schools. The zoo pass has been the best thing too as we visit quite often and it is so close to our house, it is never a project to get there. We are still enjoying our playgroup on Fridays. Summer has been a bit more laid back with it but, Fall brings a regular schedule. I have been doing "kidswaps" with mommy friends and that has made for a nice way to get stuff done around the house and going to my doctor appointments easier. I have been able to go without juggling a toddler who is very inquisitive, as she should be! It is sad that summer is coming to an end but, we have so much to look forward to in this house!! Our little Christmas present ;) little boy blue! All is going well with him. I can't complain at all, he has been treating me very well. Everyday we ask Grace where her baby brother is and she points to her belly. She does give mommy's belly kisses but, at this age, as long as she loves the little guy we are thrilled!! She is still in love with her dolly and you can quite often find us walking the neighborhood with Gracie pushing dolly in her stroller. Usually, she picks some tomatoes from our plants and gives them to the neighbors. The GREEN ones of course;)
We are looking forward to doing some painting in the house and little projects here and there that should keep us busy before December. We are no where as crazed as we were last year at this time with moving in and getting the house together! phewww. We look forward to our Arizona trip in October to Grandma and Grandpa Barrett's place. That will be a nice, relaxing vacation.
Pictures to follow... :)
